Early last week, the Centre for Natural Resource Governance (CNRG) held a two-day team-building exercise which was internally facilitated by CNRG Project Officers Ndaizivei Garura and Rachel Jambo.
The team building was aimed at strengthening cohesion among team members and setting the tone for the 2024 implementation year while at the same time taking a stoke of some of the work the organization was implementing last year.
The team-building exercise began with an ice-breaking activity aimed at fostering trust and communication. Participants were divided into small groups and given a series of challenges that required them to rely on one another’s strengths and expertise. The challenges ranged from the 30 Seconds game, shoe race, and two truths and a lie. These activities not only built trust but also highlighted the importance of effective communication and collaboration.
The activities done during the exercise were aimed at developing effective and efficient ways of working as a team, building on the strengths and skills of each member by fostering innovation and creativity.
The team building programme, which comprised indoor and outdoor exercises was held at Hwange Safari Lodge in the resort town of Hwange.
